Music boxes

How to buy a music box: To buy one of our music boxes, go to the shop and select one of the boxes. Then, select the tune, type of mechanism, size, model and customizations (if they are available). The total price will be automatically updated and the preparation time will be shown below the Add to cart button.
How to buy a music box with a custom design?: Some of the boxes in the online shop can be personalized. To customize a music box, go to customizable music boxes and once you are in the music box you like, click on "Customize design" to configure your box as you want, with the available options we offer to you.
How much does a music box cost?: You will be able to check the price of any of our boxes in the main page of our online shop. Once you enter to the selected music box, you can also select the avilable options to customize the box and the price will be automatically updated.
How much does a custom music box cost?: In the case you want to buy a custom music box, the price will be automatically update while you select the available options. You can check all our customizable music boxes here.
Which is the preparation time of a music box?: The time we need to prepare and ship a music box depends on the design customization and the song, but normally is 1-2 days for non personalized boxes and 2-4 days for personalized boxes if we have the tune in stock. You will be able to see the preparation time of each product below the "Add to cart" button and during the checkout process.
What are the customization options available?: You can customize a music box with text, symbols and images. You can see all the customizable music boxes in the section of Customizable boxes, in the online shop.
Where can I check examples of other music boxes?: Check our Instagram account to see examples of finished music boxes. Don't forget of follow us! :)
Can I make a purchase of many music boxes?: Yes! If you need music boxes for an event, write us and we will offer to you aditional discounts.

Tunes and mechanisms

What tune can I put in my music box?

We can install any of these tunes. Note that there are strip paper and crank/wind-up mechanisms. Depending on the type of mechanism selected, we will show you the available boxes for it.

How many types of mechanism can we offer?

There are 3 types of mechanisms:

Drum and crank: the mechanism sounds while you crank the mechanism, and it stop sounding when you stop cranking. The length of the musical fragment is around 20 seconds.
Drum and wind-up: the mechanism has a key that you can wind-up. It will sound when you open the box and it will stop playing when you close the box. The length of the song is also around 20 seconds but the mechanism plays in a loop as long as it's winded-up.
Strip paper: It works inserting a strip paper from the front of the mechanism, and cranking it. The mechanism will play the song while the strip paper is going through it, and it will stop playing when the strip paper ends. The length can be of more than 2 minutes.

How much does each type of mechanism cost?

The price of each type of mechanism is detailed inside of the description of the product. Normally, the crank mechanism is included in the price, and the wind-up upgrade cost $35.59. You can visit also our tunes section to check the prices for each melody.

Why do some tunes have different prices?

Depending on how the mechanism is manufactured, and also depending on the type of mechanism, the tune price can vary. The prices are always automatically updated while you select the tune and the type of mechanism.

What is the length of the mechanisms?

The length of drum mechanisms (crank and wind-up) is around 20 seconds. If you want more length, it can be only done in the strip paper mechanisms.

Can I buy just the single mechanism, without a box?

Yes, of course! You can buy just the mechanism by clicking in the section "Mechanisms" of the online music box shop.

The tune selected can't be converted into a music box

Sometimes is not possible to convert a song into a music box because of the rhythym, melody, etc... If you have requested a song and we can't make it, we will communicate it to you.

The song converted into a music box is a little bit different than the original one

The song needs to be adapted to the music box mechanism characteristics: 18 notes (crank and wind-up) or 20-30 notes (strip paper mechanism). Some rhythms, notes, melodies or harmonies can't be reproduced, so we adapt them preserving the most important musical elements. Sometimes, due to instrument or effects, you may feel it's slightly different, but after listening to the melody 4-5 times, the brain fills in the missing information and recognizes it perfectly.

Purchase

How to make a purchase: You will be able to make the purchase of any of our music boxes in the online shop section. Enter in the product, select the tune of the list or any other available option and click "Add to cart". Then follow the instructions.
How can I be sure that the payment was successful?: Once the order is done, you will receive a confirmation email. If you don't receive it within 24 hours, please write us from the contact page or check in your Spam email folder.
Can I cancel the order once it is paid?: Definitely! In the case you bought a customized music box, you will be able to cancel the order if we didn't start to make it, writing through the contact page, and we will refund you the 100% of the cost. If you bought a non custom box, you can cancel the order only if it's still not shipped.

Where do we ship from?: We ship our music boxes from Zaragoza, Spain.

What shipping company is used?: Standard shipping is sent through the national destination service (USPS, Royal Mail, La Poste, Post NL, Canada Post, etc...), and express shipping is sent via FedEx.
How much is the shipping cost?: The shipping cost depends on the destination country. Check this link to see all the prices
Which is the shipping time?: The shipping time depends on the destination country and shipping method. You will be able to check the estimated shipping time in your shopping cart by selecting your country. Normally, standard shipping takes 5-12 working days and express shipping 1-3 working days. Note that to calculate the delivery time you will have to add the preparation time to the shipping time.
How can I know the status of my order?: You will receive in the confirmation email a link where you will be able to check the details of your order.
How can I track my order once is shipped?: When we will ship your music box, we will send you the tracking code and useful information to know the situation of your package until it arrives to you.
When and how are delivered the packages?: The National Post Service or FedEx will make the delivery in working days, during the day. Depending on the destination country, taxes may be applied depending on the customs policies of the destination country.
What happens if the delivery attempt fails?: It depends on each country, but normally they try to deliver it in the next working day. In any case, check the tracking code just in case the package is sent to the Post Office. If the package is not claimed in 15 days (standard shipping) or 5 days (express shipping), it may be returned!

Guarantee and returns

Can you guarantee me that the package will be delivered after the purchase?: Yes, of course! There is a small team working for you behind this website :) We started selling music boxes on 2016 through this website and Etsy, where you can check many reviews of other customers.
Do the music boxes have guarantee?: In the case the music box doesn't work when you receive it, no worries, just contact us and we will solve the issue as soon as possible!
When can I return a product?: You can return a product if it's not customized, within the first 14 days after receiving it. The cost of the shipping will be borne by the customer. As soon as we receive the music box, we will proceed to the refund of the cost of the box.

Payments

What are the payment methods?: The payment methods are: credit or debit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, etc...) and PayPal.
Is the payment system secure?: Yes, absolutely. We understand that this point is the most important for the customer, so the payment is only done in external secure platforms like Stripe (credit cards) and PayPal. We don't see and we don't keep any card information in our systems.
I got an error in the payment process: If you've experienced an error during your purchase, please contact us to try to solve the problem, or try to use other method of payment.
What happens next if everything went Ok?: If you see the page where we inform you that everything is correct, you can close the browser, the order is done! We will send you an email with the resume of your purchase and other useful information. If you don't receive the email within 24 hours, contact us.
